Naobi Momo is a plain and quiet fifth-grade girl whose favorite book is the "Encyclopedia of Interesting and Difficult Kanji" and whose hobby is calligraphy. She sees herself as totally average. But one day, everything changes when a handsome transfer student named Yagami moves in next door and suddenly says to her, "I've long awaited this moment, my master." From that moment on, Momo's ordinary life takes a wild turn! As the heir to a secret ancestral duty known as the "Mikotoba-zukai" (Word Wielder), Momo is thrust into a new role.
