“Hey, Sota… you saw that, didn’t you?” University student Sota accompanies his friend on a fieldwork trip to a remote village, far from civilization. There, they’re warmly welcomed by the locals—and by a young miko (shrine maiden) said to possess divine powers. Yet despite the villagers’ kindness, something feels… off. The miko tells Sōta she will “protect him” from something—but from what? There’s a strange unease hanging over the village, and Sōta begins to sense that beneath the smiles and rituals lies a chilling secret.
