Japan, famously known as "the country with the least sleep in the world," is a nation plagued by chronic sleep deprivation. However, Mayoi Moroboshi lives an indulgently lazy, well-rested life, completely detached from the sleepless reality around him as an unemployed "NEET." One day, an unfamiliar app called "Sleep Trade" mysteriously appears on his phone. Skeptical but curious, Mayoi decides to try it out—and discovers that he can actually sell his sleep and earn money! Thus begins a tale of illuminating tomorrow within an endless, sleepless night.
